Meet the CVHA Board

We are the Board Members of the Cranbrook Village Homeowners Association.  Our mission is to support the social well-being of the CVHA Community and be of service to our residents.  Please feel free to contact us at any time.

  Harmen Guenther - President Emeritus

My life in Cranbrook Village started when my family moved here in 1985.  I soon became aware of the HOA, started attending board meetings, and became the President in 1998.  Being concerned about the neighborhood and City, I started attending City Council meetings, Planning Department meetings and with my kids in school, Southfield School Board meetings.  I am a former member of COSA, which advocates for Senior Citizens as well as The Total Living Commission, which advocates for all citizens. Before I retired, I was a die maker for Chrysler for 44+ years, retired in 2009.

   Margi Mason - President/Treasurer

My husband and I have lived in the Cranbrook Village neighborhood for over 36 years.  I am a semi-retired, self-employed candy maker with an extensive background in Management, Sales and Marketing, including 11 years as a nationally licensed Mortgage Banker.  I have my Bachelor's degree in Classical Greek from U of M, where I graduated in 1978.  We have two grown children:  son, Maxwell, who is a Fashion/Wedding photographer in LA, and daughter, Bailey, a Pharmacy Tech in Sault Sainte Marie.  We also have 4 grandsons ranging from 2 to 22.  Having recently closed my store in Royal Oak (Mrs. Mason's Co.), I decided I wanted to gain some social contact by working within my own community.  The Cranbrook Village community is full of interesting people, and as you all know, we're close to everything!  Go Blue!

  Peter Shand - Vice President

I have lived in our subdivision for 32 years and have been active in the Association for about 3 years.  I am retired from First American Title, where I did property tax searches.  I've been a part-time usher at Ford Field for about 6 years, as well as a precinct worker for the Southfield Elections Board for about 3 years.  I was involved with the Boy Scouts of America growing up and then served as an Assistant Scout Master for my son's troop until he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout.  Married for 40 years, my wife and I have a 38 year old daughter, 25 year old son, and a 6 year old grandson.  I am an avid Miniature Schnauzer lover, and I enjoy camping and antique cars.  I have a collection of promotional scale model cars.  I'm looking forward to serving the subdivision as a member of the Board.

 Valerie Davis - Secretary

My husband, Steven, and our two daughters moved to Cranbrook the summer of 2000.  We welcomed our black lab mix, Prince, into our home in 2021. Over the years we've thought of moving, but decided to stay for many reasons.  For example, one of the best things about Cranbrook is the people.  People you may see routinely walk the neighborhood, whose names you don't know, but always approach you with a friendly hello, smile or wave.  My family has established long-lasting friendships here.  We feel so blessed and grateful for the safety felt in this community and look forward to creating more memories in the years to come.

 Mike Kelley - Director

I've lived in the Cranbrook Village neighborhood since the '60s and graduated from the Southfield-Lathrup High School in 1971.  We were the second graduating class from this new school.  In 1985, we bought our house on Chelmsford, where my wife and I have been living ever since.  I worked at Stark Hickey Ford for 10 years as an auto mechanic and I've also been a journeyman carpenter for over 40 years.  My daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter live just a block away on Fall River.  I like Drag Racing and going to car shows, skeet & trap shooting, being retired, listening to 50s, 60s and 70s rock and roll, and being involved in our subdivision garage sale.

 Stephanie Hollander- Director

I was born and raised less than a block away from the Cranbrook Village subdivision, graduated from Southfield-Lathrup High School, and became a homeowner here in 2016.  I earned a Bachelor's degree in Sports Medicine/Athletic Training from Western Michigan and a Master's of Sports Administration from Wayne State.  I am a previous member of former House Representative Kyra Harris Bolden's advisory counsel, and currently serving on the Board of NextGen Detroit.  I'm super passionate about rescuing/fostering/adopting dogs!  I love this community very much and am eager to showcase how great of a neighborhood it is for our residents.
