The Country View CC&Rs require homeowners to obtain approval for any improvement or alterations to the exterior of a residence including the grounds.  For that purpose, we have included an "Architectural Improvement Form" in both Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat formats that must be filled out and submitted to Community Association Management.  They will forward the form to the Architectural Committee for their review.  The results of the review will be provided to the homeowner within 30 days of submittal.

Architecture application approvals are only good for "90 days" and work may start only "after" you receive an approval letter.  If you notify the management company by mail that you must halt work on a project for any reason, all work must stop until the committee and board has a reasonable amount of time to review it.  Finally, all painting of exteriors must be approved by the committee.  This even includes projects that you plan to use the same color paint as some colors are no longer on the approved list.

Helpful hint: Prior to selecting a contractor, check the Contractors State License Board web site to verify that their license is current, they have a Contractor's Bond and the level of Worker's Compensation.  You may also be able to learn if there are any complaints on file against this contractor.  The web site is at: http://www.cslb.ca.gov
